Hikuri Peyote Stargazing Retreat

Sacred Heart Sonora invites you to Zona de Silencio in Durango, Mexico for stargazing, traditional temazcal, and a sacred peyote ceremony with Dr. Gerry. This is a 3 Day and 2 Night Retreat with hostel and camping options.

The retreat is being held at Complejo Ecoturístico Zona del Silencio located in the Mapimí Biosphere Reserve. The Silent Zone is a special area where radios and electronics sometimes do not work due to strong local magnetic fields. Within an unspecified area within the Zone, radio signals fail to travel through the air, creating a type of dark zone.  It is geographically located just north of the Tropic of Cancer and shares the same latitude south of the 30th parallel as the Egyptian pyramids, the sacred cities of Tibet, and the Bermuda Triangle. UFO sightings have been reported in the area citing strange lights, floating orbs, and flying saucers. The Zona de Silencio is also known for meteorite activity and word class stargazing.
